How to get glowing skin during COVID-19
With the current state of affairs and all the uncertainty in the world, it wouldn’t be surprising if your skin is not looking it’s best. Seems like things are changing on a weekly basis as you never know if you’re going to have a job, the kids are home from school, your self-care time seems non-existent, and chaos is all around.
That’s why we’re going to address a major issue many of us are having-STRESS.
Stress and skin are intimately intertwined. You name it: acne, eczema, hives, rosacea, hyperpigmentation, wrinkles, dull skin tone, psoriasis, take their roots from or place their roots in the psyche. Experts are calling it “psycho dermatology.”
Here’s an interesting fact- “happy” people are said to have the most glowing complexions. Its simple, laughing more, loving more, staying active and being optimistic about your life gives your skin the “happiness glow.”
When you’re feeling relaxed and happy, your skin follows suit. One reason for the effect is that positive emotions actually increase your skin’s ability to repair and renew itself naturally.
Here’s my recipe for glowing skin:
+ Get your mind right! Get your happy on by tapping into your spiritual “happy” on a daily basis (preferably in the morning)
+ good skin care Yes in said it! Invest in a skin care regimen that speaks to your needs. You will be happy you did...
+ hydration Drink plenty of water daily. Think of it like this- you’re basically a houseplant with more complicated emotions.
+ exercise Get out of the house for sunshine, fresh air, and get the blood and circulation moving. Exercise your heart and mind!
